About the library

King's College Library has been in continuous existence since the foundation of the College in 1441. As well as preserving many rare book and manuscript treasures, the Library serves the current needs of undergraduate, graduate and senior members of the College with a stock of approximately 130,000 books. The library is open to members of the College and also to visitors by appointment only.
