About the library

Library Hub Discover contains journal records only from the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service library.

A specialist library for transfusion medicine, protein fractionation, pharmaceutical manufacture and engineering.

The Transfusion Medicine database contains around 1000 records and consists of archive books, pamphlets and some theses.

The Protein Fractionation and Pharmaceutical Manufacture database contains over 37,000 records which includes books, articles, videos, staff publications, British Standards, Council of the European Communities Directives, European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products publications, Food and Drug Administration publications, Government Acts, Health and Safety publications, Medicines Act leaflets and almost 1000 Research and Development Reports.

Accessing materials

Can I see live document availability on Library Hub Discover? No.

Can I obtain items via inter-library loan? No - this library does not participate in the inter-library lending scheme.

Can I visit the library to view materials? Yes - see the library's website for access details. If you wish to visit you must contact the library in advance, to ensure that they can accommodate you and that the material you need will be available.
