About the library

The Philip Robinson Library is the main campus library and has resources for all subjects except medicine and law.

The Walton Library is the faculty library for Medical Sciences. It serves the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Biomedical Sciences as well as the Graduate School and Research Institutes of the Faculty.

The Law Library is located in Newcastle Law School and provides extensive resources for all those engaged in learning and researching law.

The Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms is the newest addition to the University Library. Situated a short walk away from the main campus Library, the Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms is a truly digital library offering space to study, think, learn, collaborate and consult.

Accessing materials

Can I see live document availability on Library Hub Discover? No.

Can I obtain items via inter-library loan? Yes - subject to the library's local lending policy. You must request an inter-library loan via a library of which you are a member. Talk to your own library staff for advice on ordering an item.

Can I visit the library to view materials? Yes - see the library's website for access details. If you wish to visit it is advisable to contact the library in advance, to ensure that they can accommodate you and that the material you need will be available.
