About the library
Liverpool John Moores University has three Libraries:
- Aldham Robarts Library on the Mount Pleasant Campus supports students form the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies and Liverpool Business School. It is also home to LJMU's Special Collections and Archives.
- Avril Robarts Library supports students studying at the City Campus in the Faculties of Science, Engineering and Technology and Education, Health and Community.
- IM Marsh Library supports students from the Faculty of Education, Health and Community
From PCs to periodicals, the libraries have everything you need to get started with your studies. We have a comprehensive collection of resources for study and research available on site and online, supported by a team of expert librarians and dedicated subject specialists who are available for advice. Our collections include over 500,000 print and electronic books, and over 30,000 print and electronic journals. We also have a diverse range of newspapers, conference proceedings, maps, legal documents, technical information and other resources.

Can I see live document availability on Library Hub Discover? Yes.
Can I obtain items via inter-library loan? Yes - subject to the library's local lending policy. See their website for details. You must request an inter-library loan via a library of which you are a member. Talk to your own library staff for advice on ordering an item.
Can I visit the library to view materials? Yes - see the library's website for access details. If you wish to visit it is advisable to contact the library in advance, to ensure that they can accommodate you and that the material you need will be available.
